Local Florida film/video makers now have a place to screen and audiences now have a place to watch - all while enjoying coffee, beer, wine, and freshly prepared, organic food served up by Austin Coffee and Film. Everyone is invited!
The night begins with two amazing horror shorts from the United Kingdom: Dead Wood (2002) directed by David Bryant, Sebastian Smith, & Richard Stiles. 2-minutes. Dead Wood will be immediately followed by Heebie Jeebies (2002) directed by David Bryant. 3-minutes. Heebie Jeebies was officially selected for the 3rd Annual Triggerstreet.com Online Film Fest in 2003.
Director Carol Chiodini will showcase her witty and colorful French-style absurdist film Action Woman (2004). 4-minutes & 30-seconds.
Flicks on Fairbanks will showcase two hilarious comedies by Orlando moviemaker Chris McDaniel. Give Me My Wife Back (2003). 3-minutes & 23-seconds. Immediately following will be Rebirth of an Amateur Tennis Superstar (2003). 3-minutes.
In the Canadian documentary Good Stuff: The Story of a Man, a Dream, and a Whole Lotta Kites (2004), optimism, humor, and a whole lotta kites provide Ray Bethell with the ability to face life's challenges at 79 years old. A must see! Produced by Dennis Guskov & Directed by Matthew Nie. 9-minutes. Official Selection: Triggerstreet.com’s 5th Annual Online Film Fest – 2004.
Stylish, gritty, and locally produced, The Crown of Rust (2004) by Sooney Kadouh shows a fictional, but stark side of Orlando not often seen by many. 30-minutes.
Some of the movie makers will be on hand for brief question and answer sessions.

Directions: From I-4 East: Take the FAIRBANKS AVE exit- exit number 87. Turn RIGHT onto FL-426 E/W FAIRBANKS AVE and travel approx. 1.2 miles. Austin Coffee and Film is a small, orange building on the LEFT HAND SIDE. If you passed the Holler Chevy sales lot, you've gone too far. Parking is available in the back and in the front at the Hertz rental store.
